New group beginning 2024

Time: Thursday mornings from 8:30-10:00

How do I know if group therapy is a fit for me?

If any of the following sound familiar, you may benefit from group therapy:

a) I have difficulty creating or sustaining close friendships or romantic relationships
b) I feel like my relationships are often unsatisfying or more superficial than I’d like
c) I get anxious about social situations and often would rather stay home
d) I have anxiety about being open or vulnerable with others
e) I have a hard time figuring out how to appropriately assert myself in my relationships
f) I have a hard time knowing how I come across to others
g) I struggle with anger or conflict, and especially with how to express it to others
h) I have had a lot of individual therapy but am having trouble putting it into practice in real life

How does group therapy work?

People who seek help from group therapy tend to have in common a challenge with establishing and maintaining close and gratifying relationships with others. The purpose of our therapy group is to help you improve your ability to connect and relate with others, to build more intimate relationships, and expand your sense of community. Toward this end, our group can give you greater insight about your interactions with others, offer you a safe place to try out ways of communicating, challenge you to reflect on behaviors and attitudes, and address social anxiety and isolation.
